Patient History: 67-year-old woman with severe left leg and back pain. She was experiencing numbness and tingling in her left leg. She had suffered with these symptoms off and on for 4 years. Lifting her left leg causes significant pain in her buttocks and down the back of her leg. She experienced difficulty walking causing her to limp.

Surgery: Dr. Rahman performed a limited fusion and decompression. A spacer was used between the treated level. She elected to only treat the symptomatic level as the remainder of the scoliosis was stable. This allowed for the patient to have the most conservative surgery to alleviate her symptoms.

Outcome: The patient is currently 1 year status post her procedure without any progression of the scoliosis. She remains free of leg and back pain.
